Defiance Challenge: March 6
How many laps can you ski in 10 hours? Lifts begin running at 7:00am and stop at 5:00pm. This is a true test of your skiing legs and how many laps you can do in 10 hours.
- $125 per team when you register by February 14th

Melanoma Awareness Day: March 7
Skin Cancer isn't anything to mess around with. We honor Brad Lanpher, a long time Sunlight skier who lost his life to Melanoma Skin Cancer. You can get your skin checked for free on this day. Come donate and win cool prizes. Proceeds go to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
2015 US Telemark National Championships: March 13-15
No Experience is necessary. We have race categories for everyone.
- Junior 2 - age 13 and younger (as of 12/31/14)
- Junior 1 - ages 14-17 (as of 12/31/14)
- Citizen - ages 18 and older, including Masters...racing for fun
- Expert - all ages, must have a USTSA Competitive Membership to enter this divison
Friday, March 13 - Sprint Classics (2 runs with combined time). Includes GS gates a Nordic style jump, a 360 degree banked turn and a Nordic Skate to the finish.
Saturday, March 14 - TWO Classic Races - one run each (2 runs total)- Includes GS gates, a Nordic style jump, a 360 degree banked turn and a Nordic Skate to the finish. This race is considerably longer than the Sprint Classic.
Saturday, March 14 - Annual Membership Meeting - place and time to be announced.
Saturday, March 14 - Banquet - place and time to be announced. Bring your family and enjoy this relaxed time with old and new telemark friends.
Sunday, March 15 - Parallel Sprint - This is the exciting new head-to-head competition event that you've seen in videos on the USTSA website. We will start the day with a qualifing run(s). Then the top 32 or 16 men and 8 or 4 women (depending on number of competitors) will race head to head in the finals.
National Day: March 28
National Day is a celebration of everything it means to be a Ski Patroller. Come celebrate our ski patrol history, meet patrollers from all over the world, join us for our pulled pork lunch, and test your "mettle" against other patrollers in skiing events. For more information, CLICK HERE!
Beach Party Pond Skim Spectacular (Closing Day): April 5
A beach party at the base of the mountain. Wear your best costume and show us how you skim across the pond while enjoying live music and boat drinks!
