2014-15 Events Schedule
Early Opening: November 28th
Sunlight will be open with an 18-20 inch base. 60% of the mountain will be open with all three lifts in operation. 90% of intermediate trails will be open for you to enjoy along with most beginner trails. There will be a shuttle pick-up at Sunlight Ski and Bike at 8:30am Friday-Sunday and will return from Sunlight leaving at 4:20pm. Sunlight will close back down Monday December 1-4 and Re-Open for the season On Friday, December 5.
Teton Gravity Research Premiere: December 4
A Ski and Snowboard film premiere to kick the season off! Hotel Colorado at 7pm. Pick up your tickets at Sunlight Ski & Bike in advance for $15. Tickets will be $20 at the door, kid's tickets are $10. Wear your best 80's gear and win Meier Ski's or free beer from Colorado Native for a year!

Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race: December 7
A snowshoe race!
Santa Clause is at Sunlight!: December 20
Bring the kids up to see Santa!
Skier Appreciation Day: January 9
We appreciate all you skiers and snowboarders. Tickets are only $20 and all proceeds go to United Way of Garfield County.
Student/Teacher Appreciation Day: January 11
A free day for teachers and students are only $20.
Dynafit Heathen Challenge (COSMIC Race): January 17
A COSMIC (Colorado Ski Mountaineering Cup) randonee mountaineering race. A backcountry hiking/climbing ski event where racers challenge each other to hike and ski the most challenging terrain at Sunlight.
IFSA Jr. Big Mountain Regionals: January 18
A Big Mountain Competition held on the East Ridge.
Special Olympics: February 6
It's a special day for Olympics!
Ski Spree: February 7-8
Fireworks, Chili Cook-Off, Need-4-Speed Competition, Rail Jams, Live music and fun for the entire family.
Defiance Challenge: March 6
How many laps can you ski in 10 hours? Lifts begin running at 8:00am and stop at 5:00pm. This is a true test of your skiing legs and how many laps you can do in 10 hours.
Melanoma Awareness Day: March 7
Skin Cancer isn't anything to mess around with. We honor Brad Lanpher, a long time Sunlight skier who lost his life to Melanoma Skin Cancer. You can get your skin checked for free on this day. Come donate and win cool prizes. Proceeds go to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
Beach Party Pond Skim Spectacular (Closing Day): April 5
A beach party at the base of the mountain. Wear your best costume and show us how you skim across the pond while enjoying live music and boat drinks!
