RESPONSIBILITY CODE 

·       Always ride in control and in such a manner that you can stop or avoid other people or objects.

·       When heading downhill or passing another person YOU must avoid the person below you.

·       Do not stop where you will be blocking a trail or are not visible from above.

·       When entering a trail or starting downhill, look uphill and stop for other people.

·       All skiers and snowboarders must wear retention straps or other devices to prevent runaway equipment.

·       Keep off closed trails and obey all posted signs.

·       Before getting on any lift, you must be able to load, ride and unload the lift safely.

  LIFT SAFETY

  • Prior to using any lift, you must have the ability and know how to load, ride and unload safely.
  •  No line cutting.
  •  No jumping from the chair lifts.
  •  No bouncing chair lifts.
  • Never throw trash or other items from the lift.
  •  Clear the unloading area as quickly as possible 

ETIQUETTE

  •  Yield right of way
  •  NO line cutting, inside or outside
  •  Stay in bounds
  •  Ride with a friend 

SAFETY CODE

  •  The skier or snowboarder has the responsibility for knowing his or her own ability and to ride within the limits of such ability. KNOW YOUR LIMITS!
  •  The skier or snowboarder has the duty to maintain control of his or her speed and course and maintain a proper lookout so as to avoid other riders and objects.
  •  BE ABLE TO STOP AND AVOID OBJECTS!
  •  No skier or snowboarder shall use a lift or the slope while alcohol or drugs impair their ability.  DON’T DRINK OR USE DRUGS ON THE SLOPE!


ENVIRONMENTAL CODE

  • Plan ahead and Prepare
  • Know the rules and special concerns for the area you will visit and prepare for winter weather.
  • Dispose of Waste Properly
  • Recycle your glass, plastics, aluminum and paper. Reuse trail maps on your next visit or recycle them rather than throwing them away. Never throw trash or other items from the lifts.
  • Respect Wildlife
  • Observe trail closures, seasonal closures and ski area boundaries. These closures are in place not only for your safety but the well-being of plants and animals living in sensitive areas.
  • Carpool
  • Travel with friends and family or use the bus to avoid traffic and save gas.
