Sunlight Mountain Resort's Children's Center is the place for your son or daughter to learn to ski. Our instructors will give your kids the necessary skills to get them up and out on the hill with you and your family. Our multi-week programs are perfect for locals and we offer daily and private lessons for our weekend visitors. Please call 970.945.7491 with questions or to reserve a lesson spot for your child.

Sunlight Ski School has ski and snowboard instructors that take pride in building your confidence and skill as a skier or snowboarder. Our guest-centered teaching is the core of our program and our lessons cater to your individual needs. Many of our instructors are PSIA/AASI certified and have many years of teaching experience.

Multi-Day Programs

ThreeMosabes (3 year olds) - $210

ThreeMosabes are for those three year olds that just can't wait to get started!  Four week sessions are Monday and Tuesday mornings from 10:00 - 11:30 in January and again in February.

January Monday Session- January 2, 9, 16, 23

January Tuesday Session - January 3, 10, 17, 24

February Monday Session - Jan. 30, Feb. 6, 13, 27

February Tuesday Session - Jan. 31, Feb. 7, 14, 28

SkiMosabes (4-6 years olds) - $210

Each Skimosabes session is four consecutive weeks, one session in January and one session in February on either Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday.  

This is a half-day program that begins at 10AM or 1PM.  SkiMosabes is great for all ability levels.  Package inludes lesson, rentals, and helmet.

First Tuesday Session- January 3, 10, 17, 24- Afternoon only

First Thursday Session- January 5, 12, 19, 26- Afternoon only

First Saturday Session- January 7, 14, 21, 28- Morning and afternoon

First Sunday Session- January 8, 15, 22, 29- Morning and afternoon

Second Tuesday Session- January 31, February 7, 14, 28- Afternoon only

Second Thursday Session- February 2, 9, 16, 23- Afternoon only

Second Saturday Session- February 4, 11, 25, Mar. 3 - Morning and afternoon

MountainMoSabes (Full Day Program- 5 and 6 year olds) - $280

MountainMoSabes is a full-day lesson program that takes place on Saturdays.  This program is geared towards little skiers that are a bit more advanced. They must be able to stop, turn and ride the lift.  We will teach hockey stops, matching skis, using poles and safety on the hill.  Lunch is included!  

Lessons are on Saturdays from 9:15 to 2:30.

First Session- January 7, 14, 21, 28

Second Session- February 4, 11, 25 and Mar. 3

Sunlight Kid's Camp (Ages 4-6) - $220

December 19- December 22, 2011

Sunlight will host a kids camp for skiers ages 4-6 on December 19th through the 22rd (Monday-Thursday). We want to give your kids the opportunity to ski or board with one of our instructors while you're at work. 

Groups will be determined by age and ability. This program is for kids 4 to 12 years old. Classes begin at 10AM and end at 3PM. Lunch is a sack lunch with sandwich, drink and chips.

There is limited availability for the daily programs so please call the Sunlight Childrens Center in advance to make a reservation.

Super Tots (4-6 years old)

Full Day Lesson, Lunch, Skis and Helmet included.  Full Day (8:45-3:30) - $125.00

Half Day- 2 Hour Lesson Only (10:00-12:00) or (1:00-3:00):  2 Hour leson, Ski and Helmets included.  - $90.00

Child Care (18mo.- 6 years old)

Full Day with lunch (no lessons).  8:30 to 3:30pm  - $80

Half Day with no lunch, no lessons. 8:30 to 12:00 OR 12:30 to 3:30 - $50

Child Care Hourly Rate-$20 per hour / per child

Private Lessons (3-6 year olds)
