Sunlight Ski Team – Buddy Werner

Howdy from the Sunlight Mountain Racers! We’re from Glenwood Springs, Colorado, a small western town full of super fast snow rippers! We have the greatest coaches and we love to carve up our local mountain, Sunlight Mountain Resort.

Sunlight Ski Team is comprised of…skiers age 6 through 18 who are accomplished at their sport and are ready to challenge themselves through developing new skills in competitive Olympic quality racing. These dedicated kids love the sport and choose to spend several weekdays, all their weekends, and holidays to train, travel and compete in USSA sanctioned races. Our racers train every weekend from Thanksgiving to Easter and every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon after school.

Buddy Werner Racers are….recreational skiers and snowboarders who like to rip it up on the weekends. Learn all about our programs by clicking here. Gather at Sunlight Mountain each Saturday beginning in early January. Racers are on the hill from 9:00am until 3:00pm with an adult volunteer race coach. Skiers and snowboarders are invited to join and participate in as many as 8 days of skiing and racing this year at Sunlight Mountain Resort. Skiers and snowboarders are instructed in the basics of ski racing and team participation with an emphasis on learning and improving skiing or snowboarding skills.
