Sunlight Mountain Resort is a unique winter playground loyal to our heritage of being affordable and group oriented. Sunlight has hundreds of acres for skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing. The summit is situated on Compass Mountain in the White River National Forest, overlooking majestic Mount Sopris and the awe inspiring Elk Mountain Range. Amenities include a restaurant, lounge, rental and retail shop, ski school, children’s center, and snowmobile tours.

Your group will discover a relaxed, friendly ski area. The trail system features 67 trails covering over 470 acres that funnel back to the base lodge. There is something for everyone including cruising corduroy, steeps, and leg-pounding moguls. Every trail converges at the base lodge, so friends and family can always keep track of each other. Sunlight is home to one of the longest trails in ski country, “Ute Trail,” a cruising beginner slope which winds more than 2.5 miles from the summit to the base.

Our ski school can teach your group how to ski or snowboard and lessons are available in the morning or afternoon.  If you already know how to ski or snowboard our ski instructors can take you to the next level.  We have a complete rental shop and a gift shop complete with any items you may have forgot.  We carry googles, snow pants, ski parkas, sunscreen, gloves, hats, helmets, souveniers and many other items that will help you enjoy your time at Sunlight Mountain Resort.

After your group finishes their day on the snow, the Glenwood Hot Springs provides a relaxing place for everyone – your group can recall the day’s action in the therapy pool or swim and play in the world’s largest natural hot springs pool. The pools’ natural mineral water erupts from the earth at over 120 degrees. The hot water is mixed with cooler spring water and cooled to 90 degrees for the large pool and 104 degrees for the therapy pool. 

Since 1966 we have developed relationships with groups large and small. We pride ourselves on our small town values and our attentive and friendly service. Your group will enjoy the simplicity of our booking system and our expertise in providing a memorable skiing vacation. We can package lift tickets, rentals, Glenwood Hot Springs passes, lodging and ski lessons or any combination of these. Packages for groups of 20 or more begin at $99/person per night.
