The Third Annual, 24 Hours of Sunlight – an endurance race challenging teams of all ages and abilities to hike up the mountain and ski, board, and/or snowshoe down, for an entire 24 hour period is open for registration.
The 24 Hours of Sunlight will challenge anyone who participates, regardless of athletic abilities. The team concept allows people to challenge themselves, compete against their friends as well as the field. The goal spectrum will range from just finishing, to the most human powered vertical feet skied in 24 hours.“You don’t have to be an extreme athlete or train all year,” says Mike Marolt, famed Everest skier and climber, “you just have to grab a bunch of your more adventurous friends and go for it! What a great way to spend the weekend.” Last year’s race attracted over 170 racers and thousands of spectators. Go to www.24hoursofsunlight.com for more information and registration forms.
